The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has officially published the long-awaited Group 4 Result 2025 on its website tnpsc.gov.in. Candidates can now view their marks, overall rank and qualifying status by logging in with their registration credentials.

According to official sources, over 18 lakh aspirants participated in the examination conducted on 12 July 2025. The test was held for multiple posts under the Group IV services, including Village Administrative Officer (VAO), Junior Assistant, Bill Collector, Field Surveyor and Typist. The commission confirmed a slight delay in result publication due to mark normalization and answer script validation.

Now the portal displays the scorecard, rank list, and individual cut-off marks for each category. The certificate verification schedule will be announced shortly through the same portal.

Expected Cut-off and Merit Insights

Educational analysts predict the General Category cut-off to be around 160 – 165 marks, while BC/MBC may range between 155 – 160 and SC/ST between 145 – 150. This year’s paper was moderately challenging, especially the General Tamil and Aptitude sections.

Experts believe that students who balanced language accuracy with mathematical precision stand a better chance of making it to the final merit list. The normalization process has ensured fairness across question set variations.

Next Phase and Important Advisory

The Certificate Verification (CV) phase will begin in November – December 2025. Qualified candidates must produce original documents such as educational certificates, community proof, identity and residence documents. After successful verification, appointments will be made strictly on merit basis under TN Government rules.

TNPSC has warned candidates against relying on fake notifications circulated on social media and urged them to check only the official portal for updates and cut-off announcements.
