Devotees Returning from Temple Met With Disaster
A horrifying road accident occurred in Maharashtra’s Nandurbar district, where a pickup truck carrying several devotees plunged into a deep gorge at Chandshaili Ghat. According to reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a sharp turn, causing it to overturn. The tragedy claimed the lives of eight people and left several others severely injured.
Police and Rescue Teams Rushed to the Spot
Upon receiving information, police teams reached the accident site immediately and began rescue operations. The injured victims were taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors reported that many of them were in critical condition. Preliminary investigations suggest the vehicle was speeding and the driver lost control while descending a steep slope.
Victims Were Returning from Aartamba Devi Temple
The victims were reportedly returning to their village after visiting the Aartamba Devi Temple. The impact of the crash was so severe that many passengers were thrown out of the pickup, while some were trapped beneath it. The police have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.

महाराष्ट्र के नंदुरबार ज़िले से दर्दनाक सड़क हादसे की खबर सामने आई है। चांदशैली घाट पर श्रद्धालुओं से भरी एक पिकअप गाड़ी अनियंत्रित होकर गहरी खाई में जा गिरी। इस हादसे में आठ लोगों की मौत हो गई, जबकि कई अन्य घायल हो गए। सभी घायल यात्रियों को इलाज के लिए अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है।
पुलिस ने शुरू किया राहत और बचाव कार्य
घटना की सूचना मिलते ही शाहदा पुलिस थाना क्षेत्र की टीम मौके पर पहुंची और बचाव कार्य शुरू किया। बताया जा रहा है कि पिकअप तेज़ रफ्तार में थी और घाट के मोड़ पर चालक ने नियंत्रण खो दिया। हादसा इतना भयानक था कि कई श्रद्धालु गाड़ी से बाहर जा गिरे, जबकि कुछ उसके नीचे दब गए।
मृतकों की पहचान की प्रक्रिया जारी
पुलिस ने मृतकों की पहचान शुरू कर दी है। प्राथमिक जांच में यह अनुमान लगाया जा रहा है कि वाहन अत्यधिक गति में था और मोड़ पर चालक का संतुलन बिगड़ गया। इस घटना से पूरे इलाके में शोक की लहर दौड़ गई है।
